XXXXXXX is part of a yearlong project of generous relation and episodic publication on borders by Christopher Rey Pérez. Updates appear every month throughout three-month cycles. The first update presents a curated selection of materials, usually involving an excerpt of contemporary writing, an artwork, and a third variable related to books and the experience of reading them. The second update collates disparate annotations that are beginning to amalgamate in resonance with the presented materials. Every 3-month cycle culminates in a third update, which offers an essay that has surfaced from the durational and expansive nature of the project.
This is the first update of the first cycle.
