Fouta Harissa

A few months ago, our dear Tunisian friend Lamia Hatira invited us to redesign the visual identity of Fouta Harissa, a high-quality handmade textile brand founded in Brazil in 2018 by herself and her friend and partner Alia Mahmoud.
Currently handcrafted in Tunisia, part of the foutas will soon also be produced in Brazil, while keeping a tie to the Tunisian artisan sector.
Together with Renata Sá and with the lead of Solenn Robic we redesigned the logo while preserving its distinctive Arabic lettering, contrasted with a narrower and bolder typeface. The color palette extends from Harissa Red — the brand’s emblematic color — to warm, earthy tones such as brown, yellow, and pink.
Fouta Harissa collaborated with our bff and photographer Hick Duarte to shoot artisans, friends, and landscapes in Tunisia; these images also serve as key markers of the new identity.
Using a single typeface and these various elements, we produced the different assets for the launch: street and wheatpaste posters, postcards, the event invitation for the dinner organized in São Paulo, Instagram posts, stickers, and more.
A project for friends, by friends — long live Fouta!
